The R.C.L.A.

The River City Lacrosse Association was formed in 1976 by two men from the east coast who realized that there was no organized lacrosse in the
Sacramento area. Shortly after the R.C.L.A. was formed they were helped with the creation of a collegiate club team at Sacramento State University. Both of these teams grew simultaneously over the years.

The R.C.L.A. has had many different names and sponsors since its inception: Capital Coors, Sacramento Old Boys, Bonn Lair Pub, and for many years now, Streets of
London Pub.

However, what has not changed is a group of people that enjoy playing competitive lacrosse and having fun both on and off the field. Former/Current members of the team have been instrumental in starting high school and junior club lacrosse programs, promoting and ensuring the future of Lacrosse in the River City of Sacramento, CA.
